"Go Safe" Certification
Go Safe certification support for Abu Dhabi hotels and venues: gap assessment against DCT Abu Dhabi checklists and staff training ahead of inspection.
Go Safe is a certification programme introduced by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) setting minimum cleanliness and hygiene standards for hotels, attractions and public venues in the emirate. Assessment involves self-assessment against DCT checklists followed by site inspection carried out by inspectors appointed by DCT Abu Dhabi.
How ITMAD supports applicants
The certificate is issued by DCT Abu Dhabi, not by ITMAD. What we provide is preparation: gap assessment against the programme checklists, identification of what would fail on inspection, and training for staff on the hygiene and cleaning practices the programme requires.
Current status
Go Safe was introduced in 2020 as part of Abu Dhabi’s public health response. Requirements and the scope of establishments covered have changed since, so we recommend confirming the current position with DCT Abu Dhabi before commissioning preparation work.
